Tottenham appear to be closing in on their first signing of the January transfer window.
Indeed, Radu Dragusin looks like he’s closing in on becoming a new Tottenham player.
Tottenham and Genoa are locked in negotiations over this move, with the Italian club reportedly looking for €30m (£25m), while personal terms between all parties are already agreed.
Speaking on Kick, Fabrizio Romano has now shared some details on Dragusin’s agreement with Tottenham, and he says that the defender has agreed a long-term contract with Spurs that would see him receive the same salary as Guglielmo Vicario if he does join.

Dragusin will be paid the same as Vicario
Romano shared what he knows about Dragusin.
“I keep receiving messages of optimism on this deal, but what is going on? Tottenham have an agreement with the player, they have agreed personal terms with Dragusin, it will be a long-term contract and the salary will be similar to the one for Guglielmo Vicario but Tottenham and Genoa are locked in negotiations. They received a verbal proposal from Tottenham, not an official proposal at around €22-23m but Genoa are starting at €35m but would close the deal at €30m,” Romano said.
Matter of time
It would appear that it’s just a matter of time before this deal gets done.
As Romano says, there are constant messages of optimism surrounding this deal, and it looks like with each passing hour we’re getting closer to an announcement.
Some sources reckon that this one could be all wrapped up by Friday, and that will be a huge relief to Spurs as they continue to struggle with an injury crisis at centre-back.
Dragusin will be a welcomed addition to this squad, and with Spurs already agreeing a contract with the player, it may not be long before we see him wearing a white shirt.
