According to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs will no longer pursue a deal for Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar.
Romano, per a report from the Sun, says that Jose Mourinho was the one pushing to sign Skriniar. However, with Spurs having parted company with their Portuguese coach, attentions will move switch away from the Slovakian star.

Skriniar was linked with Spurs throughout January but never ended up signing. But reports of their interest kept on going even after the window closed. Indeed, back in February, Sempre Inter reported Spurs were still keen, albeit Inter were demanding £52m.
Heading into the summer, then, it seems Skriniar will be a name Spurs fans can cross off the list of potential signings, for now at least.
The club are yet to appoint a new manager. Julian Nagelsmann has moved to Bayern Munich, while Brendan Rodgers is happy to remain in Leicester it seems.
TBR View: Skriniar was always a long-short for Spurs, time to move on
He was the name that didn’t seem to want to go away for so long for Spurs. But for now at least, it looks like Tottenham can park the idea of trying to land the defender.
Skriniar would have been a fine signing, of course. He oozes class and quality and is no stranger to the rough and tumble sometimes associated with the Premier League.
Spurs will be linked with a number of players in the summer. But it looks like Skriniar won’t be one.
