Transfer guru and respected journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has said Arsenal are not including Atalanta’s Papu Gomez as a target for now.
Romano was providing the update via his Twitter account, where along with a small update on Emi Buendia, he insisted that Gomez is a player not currently being considered by the Arsenal management.

The 32-year-old has been in good form for Atalanta this season and has been mentioned as a potential signing for Arsenal as they seek a solution to an apparent lack of creativity in the final third.
However, Romano says Gomez is not on the list of targets for Arsenal at the moment.
The Italian club are believed to value Gomez at around the £9m mark, with Sempre Inter claiming they will not budge from that valuation amid reported interest from Inter Milan too.
Arsenal are continuing to reshape their squad and have allowed both Mesut Ozil and Sokratis to leave this week as Mikel Arteta goes about leaving his own mark on the squad.
TBR View: A surprising link anyway, given Gomez’s age
Arsenal could do with a bit of experience in some areas but not in attacking midfield. They have young players coming through as it is and if they sign someone, it needs to be someone who can stay and have an impact for a prolonged period.
That’s not to say Gomez won’t continue to do the business despite his age, but at 32, it would be odd for Arsenal to try and sign him.
Arteta will move on from this one and will no doubt have other targets in mind.
