Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been impressing his coaches lately as he’s been “training so well”, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 29-year-old has been doing well for the Gunners this season, with 10 goals and three assists from 27 appearances in all competitions.

However, with Lacazette’s contract expiring in the summer of 2022, speculation continues to do the rounds about his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus, along with La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid, were linked with his services last year.

Romano, speaking to The Blind Gooner YouTube channel, claims Lacazette will be sold if he doesn’t sign a new deal this summer, and Juve could be a potential suitor.

“This is an interesting situation because last summer he had an opportunity with Atletico Madrid, he was one of the options, but they decided to sign different players,” Romano said.

“For sure the situation of his contract is like ‘ok, we either extend the contract in the summer, or the player is leaving.’ Just because they can’t have the risk of him going for free.

“Let’s see also the situation of Italian clubs, because Lacazette was appreciated with Juventus, but they are happy with Morata.”

Romano subsequently spoke of how happy Arsenal are with the Frenchman.

“At the moment Arsenal are happy with his performances, his mentality also in training because also I’m told that he’s training so well in the last weeks and everything,” he added.

While Lacazette has been doing well enough for Arsenal this season after a difficult campaign the previous year, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will stick or twist in the summer.

The upcoming transfer window will be the last opportunity Arsenal have to recoup a decent sum for their player, should they choose to move him on.
