‘Keep an eye’: Fabrizio Romano suggests Arsenal might yet sign ‘world-class’ Champions League winner this week

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder, Marco Asensio, and Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the situation.

Reports over the last few days have suggested Arsenal are in pole position to sign Asensio. It was claimed yesterday that his agents are actually in London ready to discuss a move to Arsenal, should the Gunners fancy pulling the trigger on such a move.

And speaking on his YouTube channel, transfer expert Romano has backed those claims up by saying that Asensio’s agents are indeed offering the Spaniard to Premier League clubs.

“Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Asensio could leave and there are options for Asensio to be looking around. Let’s see what happens but from what I’m told, his agent is offering Asensio to Premier League clubs.

“So, keep an eye on Asensio because for Italian clubs it is not easy. AC Milan was an option but it’s not easy. For Premier League clubs, it’s something that has been discussed with his agent, so let’s keep an eye on Marco Asensio until the end of the market”, Romano said.

Should Asensio arrive at The Emirates, it will be the icing on the cake for the Gunners in what has been a truly remarkable transfer window.

Make no mistake about it, if Arsenal manage to sign Marco Asensio then they might be getting talked about as potential title challengers.

Their start to the season has been excellent anyway so if they were to move and sign someone like Asensio, then it would only add quality and give the league a big shock as well.

Asensio walks into most teams in Europe so if the Gunners do pull it off, then it’s quite a remarkable piece of business and transfer window in general for them.
