Fabrizio Romano has told his Here We Go podcast that any interested parties would have to stump a huge figure between £38.5million and £43million to sign Atalanta left-footer Robin Gosens this summer – amid reports Manchester City are keen.
Gosens, 26, has been in stunning form for Atalanta this season – either playing at left-back or on the left wing. He has earned four Germany caps because of his form, which has seen him have a hand in 16 goals during his 32 league and cup appearances.
TuttoMercatoWeb claim City are not the only team interested – with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan and Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus also keen to sign Gosens. City could be after a left-back, with Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko hardly the answer.
Now, Italian transfer expert Romano has told his podcast that any clubs interested in signing Atalanta ace Gosens will have to splash the cash to get Gosens – with the asking price potentially as high as £43million for his signature.

TBR’s view – Gosens would be a stunning City signing
While his asking price is high for a player that has only really hit the heights of European football and starring in one of Europe’s best leagues, Gosens is certainly showing enormous quality and is still somewhat young at 26.
He offers versatility, ability from set-pieces and both goals and assists – from each position. If spending £43million finally solves Manchester City’s left-back conundrum, then it makes sense for City to spend big on the Champions League side’s number eight.
