Liverpool are yet to make a signing this summer, but that isn’t to say they aren’t planning behind the scenes.
Indeed, the Reds’ new recruitment team – headed up by Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards, will have been hard at work throughout this summer putting together a list of potential transfer targets.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there’s one young player that Liverpool are fantasising about signing.
Speaking on The United Stand, Romano stated that Leny Yoro is considered a dream signing for Liverpool, but, unfortunately, a deal doesn’t look possible as the Frenchman is waiting for a move to Real Madrid.
Leny Yoro a dream target for Liverpool
Romano shared what he knows about the ‘fantastic’ defender.
“Yoro is the dream target for Man United, for Liverpool and for PSG. All of these clubs have made contact with the agents to check on the situations of Yoro and the answer has been the same, he’s waiting for Real Madrid,” Romano said.

Real Madrid causing Liverpool problems
Real Madrid have caused Liverpool so many problems in recent years, and they’re about to do it again.
Liverpool and Los Blancos may be 1000 miles apart geographically, but there’s something of a rivalry forming here.
Their recent Champions League clashes are still fresh in the memory, while they’ve also clashed in the transfer market on a number of occasions.
Indeed, if it wasn’t for Real Madrid, it’s realistic to think that the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Jude Bellingham and Leny Yoro would all be Liverpool players, but all three players opted to head to the Bernabeu rather than Anfield when making their moves in recent years.
Madrid have cost Liverpool a number of high-profile transfer targets in the past, and, sadly, it looks as though Yoro will be the next player to choose the Spanish capital over a move to Merseyside.
