Aston Villa have enjoyed a fruitful summer on the transfer front, making eight signings over the past few weeks.
The Villans have signed Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen, Cameron Archer, Jaden Philogene, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin, Enzo Barrenechea and Ross Barkley thus far.
While all these players are expected to feature in the Villa first-team, the Villans are also looking to strengthen their academy ranks.
Fabrizio Romano has now reported that the Villa Park outfit is set to bring in an exciting young forward who has had trials at the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

Aston Villa closing in on Mason Cotcher signing
Romano, taking to X, has claimed that Villa have now agreed on a deal to sign England youth striker Mason Cotcher from Sunderland.
He is set to sign his Villans contract today, and the deal will see him tied to the B6 club until the summer of 2027, added Romano.
Romano previously reported that Cotcher was training with Villa, and now it looks like they’re about to get a deal over the line.
Villa set to sign highly-rated young forward
As per Transfermarkt, Cotcher is currently without a club, though he was last on the books at Sunderland.
The 17-year-old has had trials at several clubs, playing for the youth teams of Arsenal, Manchester United and Leeds United last term.
According to East Anglian Daily Times, Cotcher also featured for Ipswich Town’s youngsters, while The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath reported last year that Rangers were keen.
As per the Sunderland Echo, the Wearside club is entitled to a pay-out when Cotcher signs his first professional contract, due to their role in his development.
It shouldn’t be long now until the deal is over the line and Villa can announce the signing of one of the brightest young talents in English football.
