Ivan Toney’s future has been a hot topic over the past few weeks as links to Arsenal and Chelsea persist.
The striker is said to be a target for both London clubs, but, as you can imagine, Brentford aren’t too keen to let him go.
Sky Sports have reported that the Bees will be looking for massive money for Toney in the January transfer window, while Fabrizio Romano has now made his own claim about Toney and his current club.
Speaking on The Debrief, Romano has claimed that Brentford are fighting in every way possible to keep Toney at their club until the end of the season.

Brentford fighting to keep Toney
Romano shared what he knows about the £60m man.
“For Ivan Toney, I would keep the situation open. It is true that Brentford will fight to keep the player until the end of the season in every way, but it’s also true that Toney wants to play for a top club. Chelsea are still interested, they are considering the possibility to bring in a new striker in January,” Romano said.
Won’t be easy
Brentford may want to keep Toney, but that is much easier said than done.
Indeed, Toney has made it clear that he’s ready for the next step in his career, and with just 18 months left on his contract, the Bees are in a position where it may be now or never in terms of maximising their return on the striker.
Let’s be real, Brentford aren’t going to be relegated this season, and they’re probably not going to make a push for Europe either, so selling Toney for as much as they can might be in their best interests this January.
Make no mistake about it, Toney will continue to be linked to multiple clubs as we head into the winter.
