According to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta have now scheduled a meeting with Chelsea about the possibility of signing Arsenal target, Tammy Abraham.
Abraham is one of a number of players on the list of targets the Gunners have drawn up this summer. Reports recently have even suggested that Arsenal are willing to pay Abraham the huge wages he wants.

But Romano has taken to Twitter to suggest that Atalanta could be about to throw a spanner in the works. He suggests that the Italian side want Abraham and consider him a main target. It comes as Inter Milan eye Duvan Zapata, with Romelu Lukaku set to sign for Chelsea.
Arsenal had been hoping to convince Abraham to make the move across London and join Mikel Arteta. The Gunners had been quoted around £40m for Abraham, alongside his £125k-a-week wage demands.
However, Atalanta can offer Champions League football which is, of course, something the Gunners cannot bring to the table.
Arsenal need to act fast to land Abraham
The huge summer overhaul so many predicted for Arsenal just hasn’t happened at all. Yes, they’ve landed a few players, but none who are going to really have a massive impact on the first XI.
Abraham would be one who could do that, though. His presence, experience at PL level, and goal scoring, would give Arsenal an edge up top.
It goes without saying, then, that the Gunners and Edu need to get going with transfers now. With Atalanta now in the mix, Abraham might fancy a completely fresh challenge.
