'Not offered': Fabrizio Romano says £25m man won't be signing for Arsenal, amid recent reports

Arsenal are in the hunt for a new striker this summer but according to Fabrizio Romano, that new striker won’t be former Everton man, Moise Kean.

Writing for CaughtOffside, the journalist and transfer specialist Romano has claimed that despite reports Kean has been offered to Arsenal, the Italian striker won’t be going to The Emirates. Tuttosport had claimed last week that Kean had indeed been offered to the Gunners, with West Ham also keen on the striker.

Of course, as we all know, Kean was a big money signing for Everton back in 2019. The Toffees paid around £25m for the forward, which could have risen to more with success. However, Kean struggled at Goodison before finding his feet once again with PSG.

Kean has won three Serie A titles with Juventus in the past. This current season just gone, the striker scored five times in 32 appearances.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are desperate to land a new striker this summer. Gabriel Jesus has been tipped to be their main target, while a few other names have also been mentioned. Interestingly, Tottenham are also now said to be keen on signing Jesus as well.

TBR’s View: Arsenal Do Not Need Moise Kean

Arsenal need a striker who is proven and no problem in the dressing room, which means that Moise Kean probably isn’t the one for the Gunners.

Of course, the young Italian is a good striker in his own right. But Arsenal need that goal scorer who has been there and done it, not a player who has failed already in the Premier League.

Kean has done well since leaving Everton to bring his career back on track a bit. Scoring goals for PSG and Juventus is no mean feat, so he could surprise people. However, right now, Moise Kean is not the one for Arsenal and Romano’s update is probably a relief.
