Arsenal have had a quiet start to the summer transfer window, but a number of deals now seem to be picking up pace.
For instance, the Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori, with talks said to be in full swing.
In addition, Arsenal are working to offload a number of players that are surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium.
On Thursday, Fabrizio Romano declared “here we go” on a deal that will see Gunners midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga join Sevilla on loan with an option to buy.
And on Friday morning, Romano shared another “here we go” involving an Arsenal player, this time on a loan deal with obligation to buy.

Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares set for Lazio move
The player in question is Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares, who has spent the last two seasons away from N5 on loan.
Romano has taken to X to say Tavares and Lazio have reached verbal agreement on a five-year deal that will run until the summer of 2029.
Arsenal are set to receive €9million (around £7.5million), with the deal including a mandatory buy clause and a sell-on clause, added Romano.
Romano had reported on Thursday evening that talks were advancing well between Lazio and Tavares’ camp.
Tavares deal benefits all parties
Nuno Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica three years ago for a reported £8million fee, and he looked like he has a bright future ahead of him at the Emirates Stadium.
However, he has made just 28 appearances in all competitions, and it doesn’t look as though he has done enough to convince Arteta to stick with him.
Although Tavares has shown glimpses of quality, with former Marseille manager Igor Tudor once deeming him “fantastic” and “outstanding”, he sadly hasn’t managed to maintain consistency.
This deal benefits all parties. Arsenal get a player off their wage bill and recoup most of the money they spent on him, Tavares gets to kickstart his career elsewhere, and Lazio get a solid talent.
