Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United striker and reported Arsenal target Marcus Rashford is “really desperate” for game time.
According to 90Min, the Gunners are keeping a close eye on the England international’s situation at Old Trafford.
Arsenal have just two senior strikers in their ranks right now – Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
Both Gunners players are out of contract at the end of the season too.
Therefore, Mikel Arteta and Edu are likely to prioritise one – if not more – centre-forwards in summer.
As well as Arsenal, the likes of Newcastle, West Ham and Atletico Madrid are apparently eyeing Rashford too.
Earlier this week, Romano tweeted that the 24-year-old is considering his future amid a lack of game time.

Rashford, whose contract runs until 2023, has made 18 Premier League appearances this term.
However, only nine of those have been starts, and just two have come in 2022.
Rashford did not start in the Manchester derby on Sunday. This is despite Ralf Rangnick not picking a natural striker in his line-up.
“He’s not happy”
On Thursday, Romano spoke on Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE about the £200,000-a-week star’s future.
Co-host Stephen Howson asked him: “How serious is this conversation about him looking to leave?”
Romano replied: “I’m totally serious, there’s a serious possibility for Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United.
“Of course, as we always mention at United, it depends on the manager
“For example, Mauricio Pochettino really wanted Rashford at PSG last summer.
“So maybe if Pochettino became the new manager at United… maybe it could be an option to continue with Rashford.
“But as of today, the reality is that Rashford is not happy with his current situation at United. He’s not happy with his game time, he wants something different.
“There is also the problem of the World Cup. He wants to play at the World Cup for England, and at the moment the situation is in danger for Rashford.
“That’s why he’s waiting to see what happens in the coming months. But he’s not happy with his Man United situation.
“Of course it’s not the best moment – in March – to say something like that. But at the same point for the player it’s something that he’s really desperate.
“He wants to play, he wants to be a starter.”

“I would love him to come to Arsenal”
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour would love to see the Gunners bring Rashford to the Emirates Stadium.
“Marcus Rashford is going through a bit of a bad spell but he’s a top player,” Parlour told talkSPORT.
“I am sure lots of clubs will be enquiring about Marcus Rashford if he was available in the summer.
“Certainly Arsenal, I would love him to come to Arsenal.
“That’s the position Arsenal need to look at this summer, it’s vital for the club.”
