It wouldn’t be deadline day if there wasn’t a flurry of activity from Nottingham Forest.
Forest are always active at the end of the transfer window, and this deadline day is no different.
Morato and James Ward-Prowse are due in at the City Ground soon, and according to Fabrizio Romano, there’s another player who could arrive soon.
Speaking on his deadline day livestream, Romano has claimed that Forest are close to reaching an agreement with Lyon over the signing of Ernest Nuamah.
Everton had previously been linked with Nuamah.
Nottingham Forest close to signing Ernest Nuamah
Romano shared what he knows about Nuamah.
“Nottingham Forest are working on a deal to sign Ernest Nuamah. The winger of Lyon. He was in the list of Everton, wanted by Fulham, Fulham are still there. Now Forest are close to reaching an agreement with Lyon. Nottingham Forest and Lyon are working on that, but an agreement with the player not reached for Nottingham Forest, so let’s see what happens with that one,” Romano said.

Ernest Nuamah could replace Anthony Elanga
It may not be a coincidence that the £15m man is being linked to Forest just as Newcastle make their move for Anthony Elanga.
Newcastle are in for Elanga, and Nuamah is very much a similar profile of player.
Nuamah is a pacy left-footer who plays off the right wing, and he would be a like-for-like replacement for Elanga.
As things stand, Elanga isn’t set to head to Newcastle, but the fact that Forest are in for Nuamah just as these Elanga rumours break is an almighty coincidence.
As always, it could be a blockbuster end to the transfer window for Newcastle United, and we could see some major movement in and out of the City Ground in the coming hours.
Nuamah and Elanga are certainly two players to keep an eye on as we approach the deadline.
