Respected football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, says Tottenham won’t be making a move for Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik during January.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Milik ever since the beginning of the summer and after the Polish star was frozen out in Naples, those rumours have failed to go away as yet.

However, speaking on his ‘Here We Go’ Podcast this week, Romano has moved to rule Spurs out of the running for Milik.
“Milik wants to move in January so he won’t move for free. Napoli have no intention of playing him. Tottenham are not planning to try for him again,” Romano confirmed.
Napoli were thought to value Milik at around £23m in the summer but that valuation may have dipped now, given the Pole’s lack of game time and insistence on getting a move.

But it seems that Spurs won’t be the club making a move for him. A number of other Italian sides, including Inter Milan and Roma, have shown interest in Milik before. Those two clubs could, then, remain an option for the forward.
No real need at the moment for Spurs – TBR View
Before the season started, you’d have probably said Spurs would be desperate for a forward like Milik to join the ranks.
But such has been the performance level this season that it’s become almost irrelevant. Milik is a fine player but, it seems, a bit of a disruptive one and Spurs do not need that when things are going so well.
Mourinho has made the right call here. Milik meanwhile, should still get himself a move, albeit not to the Premier League.
