Dusan Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in this transfer window.

The Blues have mostly had a positive season. After back-to-back difficult campaigns, Enzo Maresca has improved them massively, and they could qualify for the Champions League if they keep going.

Chelsea are always attentive to options in the transfer market, and they could do with a new striker this month because of uncertainty around the futures of Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix.

Vlahovic’s name emerged out of the rumour mill this week.

Vlahovic could be on his way out of Juventus in this window.

The Old Lady are on the verge of signing Randal Kolo Muani on loan. A technical issue has slowed that move down, but that is still expected to go through.

That is why Juventus are open to letting Vlahovic leave this month, and a number of clubs have been linked with a move to sign him.

The Times revealed that Chelsea are eyeing the Serbian, but Fabrizio Romano has claimed that there’s nothing going on between the Blues, Juventus and Vlahovic.

He said in a video on his YouTube channel: “From what I’m hearing, I respect all the reports, but my information is that Chelsea are currently not working on a deal for Dusan Vlahovic.

“Everything is very quiet around Vlahovic and Chelsea. We always had this link in the last two years.

“But, at the moment, what I’m hearing is that Chelsea are not negotiating with Juventus for Dusan Vlahovic.”

How Vlahovic’s stats compare to Chelsea strikers

Chelsea have plenty of options in attack already, but they have a few issues as well.

Mykhaylo Mudryk is out at the moment, while Nkunku and Felix have both been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in this window.

They will need a new forward if those two players leave, and Vlahovic would be an interesting option at the right price.

Only Nkunku has scored more goals in all competitions this season than Vlahovic.

The Serb, still only 24, is a fantastic striker who can win games on his own on his day. He would offer something different to Chelsea up top as well.

However, as things stand, Chelsea are not working on a deal to sign Vlahovic in this window.
