On a day when Harry Kane and Spurs have dominated the news, it seems that even into the evening the updates just keep on coming.

Kane didn’t report for training this morning with Spurs, despite being due back after his extended leave period following the Euros.

It is now believed Spurs will fine the England skipper, although it remains to be seen if the club will loosen their stance over selling Kane. So far, it appears Daniel Levy is digging his heels over his star man.

Interestingly, this evening has seen respected journalist Fabrizio Romano offer another updated on the situation. And intriguingly, he’s revealed that Spurs have already turned down a £100m offer for Kane from Manchester City.

Levy and Spurs are thought to be clinging onto the hope of getting closer to the £150m mark. However, it’s also widely known that Manchester City won’t be paying that to sign Kane.

Spurs kick off their Premier League campaign, conveniently, against City in a few weeks’ time.

A long few weeks ahead?

It’s certainly looking that way at the moment. Daniel Levy will hold his nerve until the very last moment here. Kane’s stance, too, will only add to Levy’s determination and resolve.

But, there also has to be an end game here. City want Kane, it’s clear as day.

However, they won’t want to wait around forever either. Furthermore, should they land Jack Grealish, then it’s highly likely they’ll pass on paying over £100m for Kane this summer.

It’s all set up to be a topsy-turvy few weeks, though. Kane has made his feelings known today with his stance. And it won’t have gone down well.
