Fabrizio Romano offers update on Spurs and Gareth Bale situation
Spurs saw off Leicester City today thanks to two late goals from Gareth Bale and Fabrizio Romano moved immediately to comment on his future.
Bale’s two goals near the end ensured Leicester missed out on Champions League football, despite their FA Cup heroics meaning it is still a fantastic season for the Foxes.
And taking to his social media accounts following the game, Romano says that a meeting is already scheduled between Spurs, Bale, and his agent, Jonathan Barnett, in the coming weeks.

The final decision will be made once Real Madrid and Tottenham will clarify their manager situations. Real are looking to sell many players this summer.

Bale’s season in north London has been a mixed one. However, he has been better since Ryan Mason took over, and has scored some exceptional and vital goals at times.

Madrid are looking to bring funds in and lower their wage budget, meaning a transfer could be on the cards again for Bale.
Whether that is with Spurs, remains to be seen. Bale is on wages which everyone knows are sky high, and as Romano says, the new manager may want to go in a new direction altogether with this Spurs squad.
However, if Bale is to bow out with that performance today, then it was quite the way to do it.
