Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has suffered an injury over in Qatar and will now miss the rest of the World Cup.
Multiple reports have confirmed the news and it comes as a bitter blow for both Jesus and Brazil, not to mention Arsenal. The Gunners will be sweating on the results of a scan on Jesus’ knee and will hope that it’s nothing too serious to derail their title push.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Jesus will be missing for a few games at least. The season resumes just before Christmas and Romano has said that the Brazilian isn’t expected to return until January.
Taking to his Twitter account, Romano confirmed the news.
Jesus being missing for the crucial Christmas fixture period in the Premier League is a major blow for Arsenal.
Since signing from Manchester City, Jesus has been integral in Arsenal climbing to the top of the table. Despite not being the man for goals they might have expected, his performances in general have transformed the club.
Jesus getting injured in the World Cup is the ultimate nightmare for Mikel Arteta. The Gunners, then, will be praying the scans show little in the way of a major issue.
TBR’s View: Gabriel Jesus injury could hand City the title
What an absolute nightmare for Arsenal this is . Their main man has barely featured for Brazil and yet he’s coming home injured and leaving Arteta with a major headache.
Jesus is so so important for Arsenal. Him being injured is a disaster really, even if it is only a few games he ends up missing.
Should he miss more than just a couple of fixtures, you have to suggest that this could well be the moment that hands Man City the title.
