Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham pulled the plug on talks with Ajax boss Eric ten Hag following talks over the last 48 hours.
The 51-year-old manager has now penned a contract extension with the Dutch champions, committing his future to the club. Tottenham’s search for Jose Mourinho’s successor now continues.
Daniel Levy will turn his attentions elsewhere after choosing to walk away from negotiations with the former Utrecht manager. With options dwindling by the day, Spurs fans must be getting anxious.

Ryan Mason is currently in temporary charge of first-team affairs, with Mourinho being handed his papers earlier this month.
He has overseen a win over Southampton in the Premier League and a defeat to Manchester City in last weekend’s Carabao Cup Final at Wembley.
