Fabrizio Romano delivers January verdict that will excite Arsenal fans, names two players
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has told CBS podcast Que Golazo that he is expecting Arsenal to do business in January with an attacking midfielder on the agenda – mentioning Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and Redbull Salzburg talent Dominik Szoboszlai.
Arsenal brought in Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid in the summer, on deadline day to be precise. But they still require a playmaker, one that can knit the midfield to the attack – something which they have seemingly struggled with of late.
Having ostracised Mesut Ozil, Arsenal need a number 10 and Lyon’s Aouar has been constantly linked with a move to the Emirates. A January move could materialise, as could a deal for Salzburg 20-year-old Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian has continued to shine beyond his years, having a hand in 17 goals and scoring twice in the Champions League. Romano expects Arsenal to be busy in January, confirming Szoboszlai has a release clause worth £22.5million (€25million).
