Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri will make the move to Spain this month and sign for Sevilla.

The 20-year-old has long been regarded as one of United’s top up and coming talents but it looks like he could now be on his way without ever getting going.

Lauded as a ‘phenomenal‘ young talent by John Eustace during his time on loan at Birmingham City, Hannibal had been hoping for more chances at Old Trafford this season.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, he now looks set to sign for Sevilla.

Manchester United to let Hannibal Mejbri sign for Sevilla

Taking to social media just a few moments ago, Romano has confirmed that Hannibal is now on his way out of Old Trafford.

Explaining the deal, Romano says both clubs are now in discussion

Hannibal can prove himself in Spain

Sometimes, the time just comes for a player to get out into the world of football and really test himself and it seems it’s come now with Mejbri.

Clearly, there is a talent in there and he has already featured on occasions for United, such is how highly rated he is at the club.

However, with Erik ten Hag continually trying to put his stamp on things, it seems the youngster might be one of the players who is sacrificed to move forward.

Of course, as Romano mentions here, there may well be a buy-back clause inserted into any deal and that would suit United.

For Hannibal, the chance to go and play for such a club like Sevilla is a massive chance that he simply won’t want to waste.

The Spanish side have had huge success in Europe over the last decade and it’s real chance for him to go and work with a club and manager who will develop him.

For United, they’ll hope he either shines and is bought for big money, or, he does so well that they simply can’t ignore him and bring him back as a first-team regular.

Either way, this could be a win-win for the Red Devils.
