Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly edging closer to the loan-to-buy signing of Noha Lemina.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to X to report that Wolves are “on the verge” of bringing the 18-year-old to Molineux.
Lemina is set to join Wolves from Paris Saint-Germain on an initial loan with an option to buy in the summer, added Romano.
Prior to Romano’s update, Foot Mercato provided news on Wolves and their pursuit of Mario Lemina’s younger brother.
They claimed that movement should take place ‘in the coming days’ and, while Lemina hasn’t agreed yet, ‘everything indicates that a total agreement should be quickly found.’
This is because he’s close to his older brother, who also played for Wolves.
Wolves target Noha Lemina has an ‘excellent state of mind’
Lemina was on loan at Sampdoria in the first half of the season but things didn’t go to plan amid a lack of game time and personal reasons, according to FM.
The player returned to PSG, but it was seemingly always expected that he would be heading out on loan again in the January transfer window.
Now, it looks as though Wolves are the beneficiaries, with Lemina now seemingly set to arrive at Molineux and play in old gold for the rest of the season at least.
Last summer, French Football Weekly quoted ‘his trainers’ at PSG as saying: “Noha is a great kid, with an excellent state of mind and he is very important in the life of a group, even if he is a little shy and he would benefit from having more confidence in him.
“He needs to better manage his emotions, because he has great qualities of speed, mixed with good technique.”
At just 18 years of age, Lemina has his whole career ahead of him, and with his older brother also at Wolves, it’s very much the best place for him to kick on and develop further as a player.
