Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Liverpool could consider using Marko Grujic in a swap deal this summer.
The 24-year-old midfielder was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as Reds boss back in January 2016, but it looks as though he has no future at Anfield.
Grujic has made just 16 competitive senior appearances for Liverpool, and has been out on loan four times since joining the Reds.

His first loan was back at Red Star Belgrade until the end of the 2015-16 season, but since then, he has played for Cardiff, Hertha Berlin and Porto.
Grujic nearly joined Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen in October prior to his Porto switch, but the Serbian’s proposed £18million move fell through.
After lengthy negotiations between the two sides, Goal.com reported that Bremen were ultimately unable to match Liverpool’s asking price.
Grujic’s spell in Portugal isn’t going all that well and it’s unlikely that the Primeira Liga giants will want to sign him permanently, which would mean another return to Anfield.
However, Romano has told Anfield Watch that Klopp and Michael Edwards may well find a way to offload him which could work in their favour in terms of bringing someone else in.
“Marko Grujic, I’m told, could be involved in some possible swap deals next summer if Liverpool have some good opportunities to add in midfield or in defence,” he said.
“He could be an interesting player to offer so they will try to do something smart again, as they have previously with the Diogo Jota deal for example.”
TBR View:
Grujic has failed to impress during his time at Liverpool and, particularly given how far the Reds have come in the past five years, he’s extremely unlikely to get another chance.
With his contract running until 2023, this summer would be a decent opportunity to move him on permanently, while his value is still relatively high.
