Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal are making a new signing today, five-year deal
Arsenal are set to sign Martin Odegaard today, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist claims that the Norway captain will pen a five-year contract with the Gunners, with an option included.
In addition, Odegaard’s parent club Real Madrid are reportedly preparing their official statement confirming his departure.
Fabrizio Romano has also claimed that Arsenal will also sign Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale very soon.
Here’s what the esteemed journalist wrote on Twitter this morning:
Odegaard spent the second half of the 2020-21 season on loan at the Emirates Stadium, making 20 appearances.
In addition, the 22-year-old became Norway’s captain earlier this year – an incredible achievement for someone so young.
Odegaard joined Real Madrid in 2015, a move deemed as a coup for both parties at the time.
Now, it looks as though the playmaker will be plying his trade in red-and-white instead of just white very soon.
Meanwhile, Ramsdale has excelled at Sheffield United and Bournemouth in recent years.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper made Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2020, where they reached the finals.
