Fabrizio Romano claims 'a lot of clubs' are enquiring about 'excellent' £100k-a-week Arsenal man
Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno is a wanted man, according to Fabrizio Romano.
He says “a lot of clubs” have been asking about the Gunners ace ahead of the summer transfer window.
Leno joined Arsenal in 2018 for a reported £22.5million on a £100,000-a-week contract.
The 29-year-old has made 117 competitive appearances for the Gunners, including 49 this season.
However, Leno’s future at the Emirates Stadium is somewhat uncertain.
According to The Athletic, he’s one of at least five senior Arsenal players who some staff members think may be looking to leave this summer.
And Romano told The Arsenal Lounge on Friday that clubs have been asking about Leno.
“At the moment, there is nothing advanced from what I am told,” he said.
“A lot of clubs are enquiring, nothing advanced.”

Admittedly, Leno wasn’t at his very best in 2020-21, making the odd error.
However, he’s not the only Gunners player to have struggled with form during a difficult campaign.
Leno is “excellent” – in Gary Lineker’s words – and has plenty to offer the Gunners in the coming years.
He still has two years left on his contract, so hopefully he and his club can kick on in the next Premier League campaign.
