West Ham United fans will be able to celebrate the arrival of the New Year on a high note in wake of an outstanding 2023 which has finished well for them.

The Hammers won the Europa Conference League and survived in the Premier League last season. Now, they’re sitting in the top six, are still in the Europa League, and will soon enter the FA Cup.

In addition, West Ham have also picked up some superb results of late. This month alone, they’ve beaten Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal in the league.

Now, reports are doing the rounds claiming the Hammers are set to offer David Moyes a new two-and–a-half year contract. The Guardian has reported this, for instance.

Moyes looks set to follow in the footsteps of Jarrod Bowen, who has been shining for West Ham and was himself rewarded with a new contract back in October.

Fabrizio Romano hails ‘underrated’ West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen

The 27-year-old attacking ace penned a long-deal deal which ties him to the East London club until the summer of 2030.

Bowen has been in stellar form this season. He has 13 goals and five assists from 24 outings in all competitions this term.

His latest goal contribution came in Thursday’s win at Arsenal, setting up Tomas Soucek for the Hammers’ opener.

This morning, Fabrizio Romano took to X to roll out some impressive stats about the “underrated” Bowen, adding that West Ham made a really “smart move” to tie him down to a long-term contract.

It’s great to see West Ham going from strength to strength, and hopefully 2024 will bring just as much joy to Hammers fans as 2023 has done.

Up next for West Ham is a Premier League meeting with Brighton at the London Stadium on Tuesday 2 January.
