Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee in recent months and speculation continues to do the rounds.
With the summer transfer window just a few months away, Spurs could well look to strengthen their ranks further as Ange Postecoglou‘s projects builds momentum.
Although Tottenham bolstered their attacking ranks with Timo Werner in January and Richarlison is in great form, there’s always scope to bring in further reinforcements.
Zirkzee has caught the eye of some of the top clubs in the Premier League thanks to his impressive form in Serie A this term.
The 22-year-old attacking talent has registered 11 goals and six assists from 29 club appearances in all competitions this season.

Fabrizio Romano drops positive verdict for Tottenham regarding Joshua Zirkzee future
Fabrizio Romano, speaking on CaughtOffside, has shared his thoughts on Zirkzee’s future and the transfer speculation surrounding him.
The transfer insider says “many clubs are following him”, but nobody has made contact with the player’s camp or club just yet.
Romano also feels “it will be really difficult” for the Italian outfit to keep hold of Zirkzee, suggesting he’s likely to move in summer.
“Joshua Zirkzee… he is doing fantastic so let’s see what concrete interest will appear,” said Romano.
“At the moment many clubs are following him but nobody has started a conversation. I think it will be really difficult for Bologna to keep the player.”

Zirkzee is a quality player with amazing potential and a high ceiling, so it’s not surprising that the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are apparently pursuing him.
Indeed, there have even been comparisons between the Bologna talent and Premier League legend Dennis Bergkamp.
Former Italy international Francesco Graziani is quoted as saying by Bologna Sport News in December: “Technically he is very good and has shown that he sees the goal.
“In Zirkzee I seem to see the Dutch Dennis Bergkamp: someone who made your eyes shine with his technique.”
With Bologna reportedly wanting around £50million for Zirkzee, he won’t come cheap. But considering how good he is at just 22 years of age, he could well develop into a star.
