Tottenham transfer supremo, Fabio Paratici, has been singing the praises of a few of the current Spurs squad this weekend and claims Cristian Romero has had a ‘big impact’ at the club.
Paratici pulled a rabbit out of the hat in the summer when he managed to land the in-demand Romero ahead of a number of other interested parties. Since his arrival, Romero has cemented himself at the heart of the Tottenham back line and proved a shrewd signing.

And when asked about Romero this weekend, Paratici was in no doubt about the impact the Argentinian has had on proceedings.
“He is a really important player for us, but I think not just him, he has a big impact but even the other defenders, they work very well at the moment. Eric Dier is amazing, Ben Davies the same. Sanchez, Tanganga and Rodon, when they played they did well, so we have a very good group of defenders, so we are happy,” Paratici said. (Football.London)
Romero has seen his season disrupted by injury but has played the last nine games in a row. Antonio Conte will be praying his man stays injury free as Tottenham chase the top four.
TBR’s View: Romero One Of The Premier League’s Best
He really is that good. On his day, Cristian Romero is good enough to pocket even the best strikers in this league.
And that impact, given he’s been here just over six months, is seriously impressive. Romero’s already a key player in the starting XI for Spurs and he’s got a real chance of making himself a club legend over the years.
Having a top central defender is always key to any team’s success. And in Romero, Spurs certainly have one.
