Ezgjan Alioski should be on his toes if Leeds sign target Jarrod Bowen
Leeds United have been heavily linked with a move for Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen and it’s believed he could be a successor for Samuel Saiz, who has agreed a loan exit in January to Spanish club Getafe.
According to the Daily Mail, the Whites have identified Bowen as the player to fill the Saiz void and they are hoping to secure him for less than his £6.5million valuation.
It is understood that Leeds could face competition from Premier League duo Brighton and Newcastle United for the 22-year-old’s signature in January.
Bowen is a talented right-winger that would definitely add some extra creativity to Marcelo Bielsa’s team and give them a great chance of remaining at the top of the Championship in the second half of the campaign.
The left-footed playmaker has scored eight goals and supplied three assists already this season for Hull in the Championship.
Bowen would add some extra flair if he moved to Elland Road to compensate for the Saiz loss, but mainstay Ezgjan Alioski would surely be the one at risk of being dropped if he joined.
Alioski, 26, is a regular in the Leeds XI on the wing and his tireless work-rate makes him a valuable asset.
But he’s not been directly involved in a goal since October and Bowen would have the edge in wide areas to overtake him in the pecking order.
