Ezgjan Alioski has turned around his Leeds United fortunes

It would be fair to say that Ezgjan Alioski has been a frustrating figure during his time at Leeds United. His inconsistency has seen Leeds fans often turn on the Macedonian and with just cause.

However, his recent form has been sensational, to the point he has been like a new player.

Alioski has scored three goals and assisted two in his last eight games for Leeds and his form has transformed since dropping into a left-back role, where he started his career.

Yesterday, he scored the crucial winner as Leeds picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win against Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road to keep pace in the Championship promotion battle.

It was another impressive display from the player, who for so long has divided opinion among the Leeds faithful. The move to left-back has rejuvenated his career at Elland Road. Toward the end of 2018, there were plenty who would have been happy to see Alioski less and less.

However, it is now looking like Marcelo Bielsa might have a tough decision to make when regular left-back Barry Douglas is back to full fitness. But it is the sort of headache that the Argentine will love to have.
