Leeds United midfielder Ezgjan Alioski has been discussing the club’s current winning form. The West Yorkshire side defeated local rivals Huddersfield Town 2-0 yesterday to take their current streak to six wins.
It is an incredible run of form for the Whites and has seen them open up an eight-point gap between automatic promotion spaces and the play-offs.
Alioski, who has recently been thriving in a left-back role, spoke to LUTV after scoring in the 2-0 win against the Terriers yesterday. He commented on the great run of form and highlighted the hard work that goes into maintaining such a run of form.
“The manager he never lets you think that you have won six games in a row. This is good because we are always under pressure to win every game which is good.
“The mood is always good. We have a team that is always together. A young team
“Of course, from outside when you see six games in a row winning the feeling is unbelievable. But they don’t know how hard we work to get these six wins.”
There is no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa has Leeds United cooking with gas at the moment.
But as Alioski explains, it is no accident. The Argentine has drilled the players hard and the result is a well-oiled machine who look like strong candidates for promotion to the Premier League.
If they continue stretching this winning run, that will be without doubt.
