Tottenham Hotspur were linked with AC Milan’s Pierre Kalulu over the summer.
Il Giornale – via Milan News – claimed that Spurs had set their sights on the 22-year-old defender.
However, speculation linking Tottenham and Kalulu came to nothing, and the player stayed put.

Now, Calciomercato.it – via Sport Witness – has provided a transfer-related update on the Frenchman.
The outlet noted how Kalulu has switched agents, linking up with Jonathan Barnett’s ICM Stellar Sports.
Apparently, the France Under-23 ace had grown disappointed with the representation he was receiving from former agent Vlado Lemic.
It’s a choice Calciomercato.it say is ‘by no means trivial’ as it could ‘substantially change’ his fate moving forwards.
Kalulu is yet to agree to terms on an extension to his current deal, with his current contract set to expire in 2025.
Lemic had been working on it but the last meeting between him and the Italian giants was in May
At that point, a ‘mutual willingness’ to renew was expressed, but there was no substantial breakthrough.
Indeed, there was apparently some distance between the two parties, leading to speculation over Kalulu’s future.
Now, it remains to be seen what Barnett’s intentions for his new client are.
And considering Stellar represent Ben Davies and Gareth Bale, the links with Tottenham are there.
Could there be some conversations between Barnett and Fabio Paratici over the course of the season?

‘Extremely reliable’
Total Football Analysis published an in-depth report about Kalulu in May this year.
‘Kalulu shows impressive defensive maturity despite his young age,’ they wrote of the versatile defender, who largely plays at centre-back.
‘He is a well-rounded player, who despite his position in defence, has developed his technique, tactical understanding and spatial awareness.
‘That’s why he is so successful in his defensive interactions, as he can anticipate the opposing players’ movement and judge a situation correctly, so he decides whether to dive into direct challenges or just apply pressure to keep the opposition away from the goal.
‘While his defending style is rather aggressive, and he likes to step up in direct duels, his well-measured actions and flair allow him to interact with the opposing players and the ball clearly and avoid fouling, especially in dangerous areas.
‘Kalulu and Tomori are among the Serie A centre-backs with the fewest fouls per 90 (0.56 and 0.6 respectively). That makes them both extremely reliable, especially when it comes to defending in their defensive third.’
