Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka made his England debut last night, the Gunners academy graduate playing the full 90 minutes in the Three Lions’ friendly win over Wales.
The 19-year-old, who enjoyed a stellar breakthrough season at Arsenal in 2019-20, was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the nation’s three games this month.
Saka was named in England’s starting XI in Thursday’s game against the Dragons at Wembley and played 76 minutes before being replaced by Arsenal teammate Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Admittedly, the left-sided ace had a nervy start to proceedings, with one defensive header back into a dangerous area giving Wales an opportunity to score.
However, Saka grew into the game and looked more steady and solid, even going close to scoring with a deflected effort in the second half, though Wayne Hennessey was able to save.
As a youngster making his international senior debut outside of his natural position, he did very well, and plenty of fans praised his display on social media.
Here is some of the social media reaction:
England ran out 3-0 winners in the end, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Conor Coady and Danny Ings all getting on the scoresheet.
