Bukayo Saka hit a landmark for Arsenal on Saturday.

The England international notched his 100th goal involvement in the Premier League when scoring against West Ham, which was his 55th league strike for the Gunners – he also has 45 assists.

Now – according to TBR Football‘s Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey – Bukayo Saka is set to make more history at Arsenal by signing an unprecedented deal.

Bukayo Saka set to become the first £300,000-a-week player in Arsenal history

The Arsenal No.7 sees his current contract expire in July 2027 – so those at the Emirates Stadium are understandably keen to extend his deal.

After tying William Saliba down, the Hale End graduate is next, with Bailey telling the Beyond The Back Four podcast: “Saka is the next big contract coming up. We do believe he’ll be the first £300,000-a-week footballer at Arsenal.

“That deal might actually be done in the coming weeks and this international break is going to be key to that.”

Saka is currently believed to earn £195,000-a-week at Arsenal, so this would be quite a substantial pay rise for the 24-year-old, to say the least.

Arsenal have another contract renewal in sight after William Saliba and Bukayo Saka

Every fan likes to see new signings arrive, but it is arguably even more important to keep existing squad members happy and committed to the club.

Fortunately, the Gunners seem to be all too aware of this.

TBR Football understand Arsenal want to strike a deal with Jurrien Timber once Saka commits his future in north London.

Arsenal are believed to view the Dutchman as one of the best on the planet, and want to reflect this with a pay rise.

The situation is not as pressing as Saka’s new deal is – however – with Timber signed up until July 2028.

It has been an impressive response from the Netherlands international since a serious knee injury cost him his first season at Arsenal – following a £38m move from Ajax in July 2023 – and a new contract would be thoroughly deserved.
