Exit rumour 'purely gossip' and Everton fans will love Yerry Mina's agent's comments

Yerry Mina’s agent and uncle Jair has made it clear that the Colombian has no desire to leave Goodison Park this summer. Speaking to aSPOR in Turkey, he made it clear that Mina ‘owes’ Everton and will not be going anywhere this summer.

It comes after reports from Ajansspor suggested that Mina was a target for Fenerbahce after a difficult first season at Goodison Park.

“Yerry will certainly not leave Everton.

“This type of transfer news is purely gossip.

“Mina owes Everton and has to prove himself. He will not leave Everton.”

Mina arrived at the club off the back if an incredible World Cup display with his country. Those performances led Everton to spend a reported (Sky Sports) £27.2 million on the player in the summer.

But Mina suffered from persistent injuries and inconsistent form, eventually falling behind Kurt Zouma in the Everton pecking order.

However, with no deal for Zouma likely, this is great news for Everton.

Whilst Mina had his bad patches, he also excelled in other games and he clearly has the ability to thrive in English football.

To hear how he feels he owes Everton is certainly a positive sign of a potentially different animal for Everton next season. The Colombian powerhouse could be like a new signing at Goodison Park.
