Will Huffer has told The Boot Room that he believes Leeds United’s squad is capable of finishing in the European positions this season, but the ex-Leeds goalkeeper reckons a mid-table Premier League finish is more likely.
The Whites have already clocked up 29 points from 20 Premier League matches and are sitting comfortably in 12th place in the Premier League, having picked up four wins from their last six outings – losing twice to Tottenham and Brighton.
But either side of those two defeats, they beaten Burnley and West Brom – and have since notched six points in wins over Newcastle and then Leicester last time out. On Wednesday night, they could climb into tenth place with a win over Everton.
Huffer, 22, played under Marcelo Bielsa on one occasion during the Argentine’s first season at Elland Road – a 2-0 win over Bristol City and has since joined League Two side Bradford City, following a brief stint at Bradford Park Avenue.
The ex-Leeds goalkeeper reckons his old teammates are more than capable of achieving a place in Europe – which would mean finishing sixth or potentially seventh place. But Huffer thinks a comfortable mid-table finish is more likely for the Whites.

“I think they will finish around mid-table; happy days, first season just don’t get relegated,” Huffer told The Boot Room.
