Arsenal will apparently have little money to spend this summer on acquiring new players.
The Sun reported earlier this year that Unai Emery will have just £40 million available, unless they seal Champions League football next year by winning the Europa League.
Even if they do that the Spaniard will be looking at around £60 million, which fans have expressed their disappointment over.
Of course, extra funds can be raised through the selling of players already at the club, but perhaps Arsenal have somebody in their ranks who can help prevent them eating into their precious budget this summer.
Joe Willock was handed his second first-team appearance of the season against Burnley, and showed that he might just have what it takes to step into Aaron Ramsey’s shoes next term.
Willock came in for a lot of praise from Arsenal fans on social media after his showing at Turf Moor, where he showed fantastic composure alongside Mohamed Elneny and Matteo Guendouzi in midfield.
The 19-year-old, who has featured 12 times in PL2, played a slightly more advanced role against the Clarets, and was called ‘exceptional’ by football.london.
He certainly looked comfortable enough at times for the visitors and one does wonder if can even be a like-for-like replacement for Juventus-bound Ramsey in the first-team next term.
Arsenal seemingly don’t have much money to throw around, but they may already be sitting upon the solution to the problem, which many fans still can’t believe has been allowed to develop.
