Tottenham Hotspur’s academy may be about to embark on something of a golden generation.

Indeed, Spurs have a huge number of talented young players coming through right now who could be the spine of this Tottenham team for years to come.

The likes of Alfie Devine, Jamie Donley and Alfie Dorrington all look like potential stars, and there’s one player who’s even younger than those three who is also making waves.

Indeed, 16-year-old Mikey Moore is, by all accounts, a proper talent, and speaking on The View From The Lane Podcast, Charlie Eccleshare has shared some insight into the player’s ability.

The journalist says that Moore is a very exciting player and he says that someone recently spoke to him about Moore and compared him to Adel Taarabt.

Mikey Moore compared to Adel Taarabt

The journalist spoke about the young teenager.

“Another one is Mikey Moore, very skilful, someone was saying to me that he’s a bit like Taarabt in some ways, the good stuff, the ability he has in training to do mad skills and things like that. An exciting player to keep an eye on as well Mikey,” Eccleshare said.

Exciting

Adel Taarabt didn’t exactly have the best career at Tottenham, but make no mistake about it, he’s one of the most naturally talented players Spurs have had in recent years.

Unfortunately, the Moroccan didn’t quite apply himself in the way he should and he never made it to the very top, but in terms of what he could do with a football, he was one of the most gifted players around.

If Moore can take that level of natural talent and apply a serious element of professionalism, Tottenham will have a seriously special player on their hands here.

Let’s hope the 16-year-old’s development is handled correctly.
