‘Exciting’ attacker is expected to sign for Tottenham, it will stop £20m man joining

Tottenham may have already signed Timo Werner this month, but they’re also being linked with more attacking additions.

Indeed, Spurs are still said to be keen on a few attackers, and according to George Sessions, speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, Antonio Nusa is likely to join Tottenham.

The journalist says that he does think this deal will get done, but, unfortunately, it will be at the expense of another potentially very exciting signing.

Indeed, Sessions says that while he does expect Nusa to sign, he claims that if the ‘exciting’ attacker does join, Jonathan Rowe won’t be arriving in north London.

Nusa will mean Rowe won’t sign

Sessions spoke about the £20m player and Nusa.

“It’s the same with Jonathan Rowe, but if Spurs sign Nusa then they won’t sign Jonathan Rowe, it’s one of those situations and this month it feels like all the eggs are in the basket with Nusa. Again, putting my neck on the line I think that Spurs will get that deal done,” Sessions said.

Risky

This could be a bit of a risk.

Nusa is younger than Rowe, but it’s hard to say that his ceiling is higher.

Yes, he’s smashing it in Belgium right now, but we’ve seen so many players come from the Belgian League in recent years only to flop at the top level.

The likes of Sander Berge, Paul Onuachu and Wesley Moraes have all struggled to make an impact in the Premier League in recent years after arriving from Belgium, while the path from the Championship to the Premier League is a much more well-trodden path.

Rowe looks to be an incredibly exciting player, and we can’t help but think that Spurs would be better off signing the Norwich youngster instead of Nusa.
