Exciting Arsenal target subject of AC Milan bid - report
Arsenal have been linked with Brazilian right-back Vanderson in recent weeks.
UOL Esporte has also linked Arsenal with Vanderson, but it looks as though another club has made a move.
The Brazilian outlet claims AC Milan made Gremio an offer of around €10million (£8.5million) with the inclusion of bonuses.
Luckily for Arsenal, Vanderson’s club apparently didn’t give the bid the time of day, and didn’t want to begin negotiations.
However, the Gunners will also find it difficult to sign the 20-year-old this summer.
This is because he recently penned a new contract until 2025 with a reported €100million (£85million) release clause.
Worse still, Gremio apparently consider Vanderson “non-negotiable” for now.
They expect the academy graduate’s value to increase further in the coming months.
And with such a high release clause, Gremio’s hand is incredibly strong in any negotiations for Vanderson.
Arsenal really could do with signing a new right-back this summer, but Edu might want to look elsewhere for now.
