Celtic have officially confirmed the signing of Rubin Kazan defender Carl Starfelt.
The Hoops announced on Wednesday that the Swedish international had signed for the club on a four-year deal. Starfelt becomes Celtic’s fifth signing this summer.
Furthermore, manager Ange Postecoglou was delighted with the transfer.

The Australian coach said via the club’s official website: “I am really pleased agreement has been reached.
“We are really looking forward to Carl joining up with the squad. Carl is an experienced player and someone with the attributes to be a real success at Celtic.”
Indeed, Celtic have been eyeing a centre-back for the majority of the summer.

Moreover, with Kristoffer Ajer this week completing his move to Premier League side Brentford, Starfelt’s signing could not have come at a more perfect time.
Indeed, the defender will be a welcome addition to the squad ahead of next season. And supporters on social media were buzzing for Starfelt to officially join the team.
Here’s what some Celtic fans had to say about Starfelt joining the team on Twitter…
