Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe won the man of the match award as England Under 21s beat their Czech Republic counterparts.
Smith Rowe was called into the senior squad earlier this season but for the most recent round of matches, he is with Lee Carsley’s men.
They took a big step towards the European Championship with the crucial 2-1 away win, in which Smith Rowe scored the opening goal after 22 minutes.
His performance was the standout on the night and he perhaps showed Gareth Southgate what he is missing out on.

Smith Rowe wins man of the match
Going away on international duty at the end of a long hard season is tricky for all the players but especially the ones who have suffered recent disappointments.
Smith Rowe was also part of the Gunners side who failed to qualify for the Champions League, finishing fifth after a late season collapse.
But he showed no signs of that lingering in the back of his head with a performance which saw him scoop the individual prize.
Smith Rowe has been hailed as ‘exceptional‘ by Mikel Arteta and on the evidence of last night’s display, he is fully over the fitness issues which plagued the end of his season.
It is to be hoped that he can carry that into pre-season with Arsenal, by which part Arteta will have hoped to have added more quality to his young squad.
Smith Rowe is a big part of Arsenal’s future and he will hope that by the time the World Cup comes around, he is with the seniors and in with a chance of making history.
