'Excellent': TalkSPORT pundit wowed by midfielder Leeds have reportedly been in talks with

Reported Leeds United target Conor Gallagher is an “excellent” player, according to talkSPORT pundit Trevor Sinclair.

The Whites are currently planning for their second season back in the Premier League following an impressive 2020-21 campaign.

According to football.london, Leeds have spoken with the Chelsea midfielder over a prospective loan move.

The outlet reports that the Elland Road club put together an impressive presentation to try to convince Gallagher to head to Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, The Athletic’s Phil Hay has claimed that Gallagher is Victor Orta’s top pick in terms of central midfield targets.

However, the 21-year-old has apparently also spoken to Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira and sporting director Dougie Freeman.

TalkSPORT‘s Alex Crook, speaking to Sinclair and Natalie Sawyer, began talking about Gallagher’s reported suitors.

Sinclair deemed the player “excellent” and said: “He showed really good maturity last year in a struggling West Brom side.

“But he had good performances, a lot of self-belief, works hard, got good mobility around him and I was impressed with his performances last season.”

Gallagher linked up with the Baggies in September after penning a new contract at Chelsea.

He made 32 appearances in all competitions for Albion, including 30 in the Premier League.
