Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp is starting to make a name for himself on loan.
The Spurs academy graduate left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week to link up with Norwich, who are back in the Championship after a season in the Premier League.
To date, Skipp has made three appearances in pre-season for the Canaries, coming on as a second-half sub against MK Dons and playing the first half against German side Verl.
On Wednesday, the 19-year-old was once again named in the starting XI as Dynamo Dresden were beaten at Delbrucker Sport-Club.
Skipp put in a tenacious display, earning a booking just 10 minutes in but still weighing in with some solid challenges afterwards.
Plenty of Norwich fans were impressed with the Tottenham man’s display, sharing their thoughts on social media:
Oliver Skipp, what a tackle my friend #ncfc

Haven’t seen a foul from a Norwich player like that in years, viva la Skipp

Booking for Skipp. First tackle of the game almost – and it’s a friendly.
Two good challenges. His third was late but could’ve probably gone without a card given the circumstances.
Competitive start, this.

Skipp not afraid to get stuck in…

Skipp really looks a good player… imagine how much better he could look if he hadn’t spent half the first 30 minutes cleaning up after Rupp #ncfc

Love how Skipp throws himself infront of that shot trying to block it.

1) Pitch is atrocious
2) Skipp offers good physicality and bite
3) Martin struggling to stay neat and tidy in possession mainly due to conditions – learning experience
4) Stiepi totally unfazed and composed – great play for the goal.#NCFC

Some half-time observations:
– I like the look of Oliver Skipp. Tenacious. Adds some bite. My sort of midfielder
– Josh Martin has been lively. Some nice touches and movement off the ball
– The best I’ve seen Teemu Pukki perform in a while#NCFC

I really want to believe Lukas Rupp can come good at #NCFC, but I just can’t see it.
Ollie Skipp, on the other hand, has been excellent here. Really like his pass selection and he’s buzzed about defensively too.

Mumba did alright. Some tidy play. Skipp had some bite about his play. Nice to see Pukki take his goal well. Martin had some nice movements. But, we looked alittle stretched on the counter at times.

Skipp is one of the Tottenham academy’s brightest prospects and made his first starts under Mourinho in the March games against Burnley and Norwich.
To date, he has made 23 competitive senior appearances for Spurs.
