Everton midfielder Anthony Gordon is “one of the brightest” young talents in the Premier League.
This is according to BBC pundit Pat Nevin, who hailed his “excellent” movement against Boreham Wood in the FA Cup.
Gordon has taken a while to become an Everton regular, but this season, he’s finally made his breakthrough.

The 21-year-old has made 25 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees.
Rafa Benitez rated Gordon highly, and new Everton boss Frank Lampard is also a big fan.
On Thursday, the Toffees academy graduate started in the FA Cup fifth-round clash at Goodison Park.
Gordon impressed with his superb movement and was a constant threat against the National League side.
As per Whoscored, he registered eight shots, four of which were on target, and made one key pass.
Gordon also made 42 passes with 92.9 percent accuracy, and weighed in with three crosses.
The Liverpool Echo gave him a 7/10 rating for his performance on the night.
They wrote: “Strong running and neat footwork made him a constant danger but his inventive play couldn’t find an end product on this occasion.”
Nevin liked what he saw from the Everton academy graduate before Lampard took him off in the 85th minute.
“Anthony Gordon’s movement is excellent,” he said (3/3/22, 21:41).
“And he is one of the brightest talents in the Premier League at the moment.”
Everton ran out 2-0 winners over Boreham Wood, with Salomon Rondon getting both goals for the hosts.
The Toffees will now face fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Everton are next in action on Monday night when they face Tottenham in north London.
