‘Exactly what we need’: Some Everton fans react to links with 23-year-old ‘supreme talent’

A number of Everton fans have given their thoughts on the report claiming Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring Jeremie Boga to Goodison Park.

Sky Sports claims that the Everton manager was interested in signing the Sassuolo winger during his time at Napoli, and both the Toffees and the San Paolo outfit are reportedly still keen on him.

In addition, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly both held preliminary discussions over a possible deal for the Ivory Coast international, who is purportedly valued in excess of £35million.

The 23-year-old left-winger – who can also play centrally – has been superb at Sassuolo, registering 11 goals and four assists from 34 Serie A appearances last season.

Boga came through the Chelsea academy, but struggled to make the breakthrough at Stamford Bridge and was sold in 2018 after a string of loan spells.

However, former Blues youth coach Michael Beale rated Boga very highly, describing him on The Byline last year as a “supreme talent” who could go on to “be whatever he wants to be”.
