Former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Michael Kightly reckons Adama Traore has it in him to become a world-beater.

Last term Traore was regularly criticised for his lack of an end product and decision making.

Nuno Espirito Santo appeared to lack trust in the player, but it’s a totally different story now with the former Barcelona youngster looking like a different animal.

In the eyes of Kightly, he could easily end up at a top club playing in Europe.

He told Wolves Bite: “He’s a real threat and if he can keep that confidence, he can be a world-beater. He’s a big player for Wolves.

“He’s one Wolves will want to keep hold of, but he could go again.

“I think he could play in the Champions League, because you look at that Manchester City game, his pace was devastating and he put in two good finishes as well.”

It must be hugely satisfying for Nuno Espirito Santo to see Traore finally improving.

The fact he is now making smarter on-field decisions makes him an extremely dangerous player for the opposition.

Should he continue to develop at the rate he is, then Wolves would surely have to brace for interest from Champions League outfits.
