Former Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Geoffrey Kondogbia starred against Manchester United in the Champions League – just weeks after Tanguy Ndombele did the same against Manchester City.
Kondogbia stood out for Valencia as the Spaniards earned a point against the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

It was another dismal display from Jose Mourinho’s side, but Kondogbia made life difficult for United’s midfielders.
The enforcer was everywhere for Marcelino’s side. He snuffed out the creativity of Paul Pogba and battled it out with Nemanja Matic and Marouane Fellaini.
It was just a solid all-round midfield performance from Kondogbia.
Have Tottenham missed out on another top player?
Tottenham were supposedly interested in signing Kondogbia in the summer.
The Mirror reported that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was interested in the possibility of getting him in, but was told to refer to the player’s £70 million buy-out clause.

It would have been a huge risk to trigger that clause, but Kondogbia is quietly showing that Spurs could have benefitted from his services.
There is no guarantee that Mousa Dembele will be sticking around long-term.
The Belgian maestro appears to be a target of Juventus, with the player himself reportedly open to the move.

Awkwardly, Kondogbia has only just made his stint at the Mestalla permanent after impressing on loan last term from Internazionale.
Just as Ndombele recently signed a new deal with Lyon, Spurs appear to have missed out on another top all-action midfield general.
