The former Rangers striker Mark Hateley is expecting plenty of summer interest in Alfredo Morelos, despite his concerning disciplinary record.
The Colombia international scored a hugely impressive 30 goals in 2018/19 and earned himself a PFA Scotland Player of the Year nomination.

But the hothead picked up five red cards and often frustrated supporters with his immaturity.
The 22-year-old has said he could leave the club this summer, but there have been claims clubs won’t want to pay big money due to his personality.
But in the eyes of Hateley – who the player’s quality is enough for potential buyers to overlook his achilles heel.
He said, as quoted by The Scottish Sun: “I think top clubs will see through Morelos’ disciplinary issues and focus on his raw talent.

“I look at Alfredo and he’s got European striker written all over him
“He missed too many games last season, but he’ll learn from it. He has all the tools to be a top player.”
TBR’s view
It will be very interesting to see what happens with Morelos this summer.
He is the best striker in Scotland but of course he is hugely unreliable at the moment.

Whether Rangers are likely to command a high transfer fee is anyone’s guess.
Hateley is certainly correct branding Morelos ‘raw’ though – the former HJK star has plenty of time on his side if he is to finally improve his conduct.
